Go Boise Hawks!!!!

We just got home from the Boise Hawk's Baseball game about an hour ago...and it was a blast. The Hawk's baseball team had the honor of presenting the first sporting event Skylr has attended and they won 5-3. We had a great time at the game, a co-worker of Tim's gave him free box tickets; so we had amazing seats. We sat by the other teams dugout, and we were in the shade the whole time...it couldn't have been better seats for Skylr. Sky behaved like her usual self...perfect. She only fussed once about an hour and a half into the game when she became hungry, for the most part she sat on my lap and watched the game, when she wasn't sleeping.

whats new?!?

Skylr has moved to her crib. Friday July 25th was her first night in her own room. She woke up at 5:00am to eat, then at 8:00am. I get her ready for bed around 9:00pm, before she moved to her crib she slept all night, but now she wakes up in the middle of the night and takes a lot longer to go to bed. Julie was telling me that Sky got used to different noises during the night when she slept in our room, and now the noises have changed. I have been a little more tired this past week, but thats part of the transition. I had a pretty hard time that first night, i wanted her to be close to me, but we have been doing well with her in her own room. I check on her often and have the baby monitors up really high. lol. she is growing so much it is insane.

Skylr loves getting wet. She is so good during baths and has been taking showers with mom. I was pretty nervous for her first shower becuase i know how slippery babies can be when wet, but she did great. she loves the water splashing on her face and it's so cute how she focus' on me so well.

i have a new chair

Yesterday Skylr got a chair that she can sit up in all by herself. She has been favoring her right side when she is lying down, which is creating a flat spot on her head. The flat spot isn't to bad, but will get worse if she continues to lay on it so much. We got her the chair so that she can sit up or lay down when she is playing, this way she can strengthen her neck and other muscles that help her sit up. She enjoys her chair for a while, but it poops her out pretty fast right now, the more she is in it the longer she will last. These pictures were taken today, and that big arm is her daddy's...she likes to make silly faces at him.

family trip to twin falls

Saturday July 26th Lanae, my parents, Tim, Skylr and I took a trip to Twin Falls for the temple open house. This trip was the longest one for Skylr and she did great. We had a great time, it was the Lucore's first temple open house as a family and individually. During the movie that is viewed before the tour, Skylr had a big blow-out that was not discovered until we were already in the temple...far from the diaper bag. When the tour was over she was all cleaned up and we had a refreshment in the gym....which was beautifully decorated. After lunch, on the way back home, we discovered another blow-out. We pulled over just off of the freeway over pass to clean her up. My mom had to help since it was all in her car seat and up to her belly button. She sure was messy. Although she went through two outfits that day, she was very well behaved and the drive didn't seem to long. The temple was amazing, it was so gorgeous and so worth the four hours of driving that day.
