Well not much has been happening. We got a Betta fish and named him Moby. We cleaned out the garage and put a bunch of stuff on craigs list (sold almost half in two days).
Tim's mom got back from a week long vacation in Mexico and brought us some awesome souvenir's. I made Skylr a chalk board and I am currently working on an alphabet book.
Tim is looking forward to spring break at the end of this month which is when he will be putting up our shed (I can't wait to have all of the extra free space in the garage and begin to build up my food storage again). I have also been thinking about Sky's birthday in two months...how did time move so fast??? She is going to be two...what a big girl.

CRAZY
Well first in the CRAZY...Skylr's morning hair is always a funny sight and no matter how her hair was the day before or if she took a bath before bed, it is always crazy. Second is that we finally got some chairs for our front room, just to find that since some of the bolts are to long, when we put it together it split the wood...and because the bolts are wrong the chairs are wobbly. We are getting a replacement, but so far our Overstock.com experience was not good. But on a better note, we got free tickets to the Stampede Basketball game this last Saturday and had a fun date...it's been a long time since we have gone on a date like that, usually our dates are at home, watching a movie after Sky has gone to bed. lol, married life for ya!!! We enjoy it though!!!

Picasa

I have been having so much fun with this new photo editor that I downloaded for free of the web. My mom has it so I got the link from her and now I can't stop doing special effects to our pictures, it is way fun. Today we went on our first walk through the subdivision, we walked just over an hour and a little yellow dog followed us the whole time and kept buging Darby...I couldn't get ride of it for the life of me, at the end of our walk I almost had to literally kick it out of our garage. The kids had fun though...Logan slept most of the way and Sky told all the dogs to stop barking. I also got my new "sit n' stand plus" stroller as well as Sky's big carseat. Monday was like christmas all over agian. Since the carseat came in such a cool little box, we played in it all day and personalized it with crayons. We are haveing a fun time trying to get into the spring spirit. We are also planning some of our spring projects for the yard... I can't wait.

Sad News
Well we have some sad news to report. We had to make a trip to the ER Saturday night and we lost the baby. We want to thank Elroy and Edith for staying with Skylr until 1 am while we were gone. We have appreciated the support that we have already received. That being said, we are okay with what has happened and would rather that people not call to wish condolences. Feel free to leave any comments, but please don't call unless you think that our situation can help you in any way. Thank you.

All Settled In
Skylr loves her new full size bed and sleeps like an angel.
We attended our new ward for the first time...we attempted to go last week, but we had an alarm malfunction. We think we are really going to really enjoy this ward, it is so different from what we are used to. First of all they have 5 nursery's and are adding a 6t
h. There are about 15 pregnant women and two with newborns. N
eedless to say it is much younger than our other ward and that is very exciting to us. Sky was helping me clean today as well as posing in front of the awesome toy box her great grandpa Bastian made her...thank you again grandpa.

Our New House!!!
Well we have fin
ally bought a house and have moved in. It was about a 6 month p
rocess, but now it is ours. We have made a few changes to suit our needs (while still having fun) and the inside projects are finally over...until a new list is made. This spring we will be fixing the yard and building a shed as well as making space for a garden. We are unbelievably excited and finally feel at home in our new house. The biggest project wa
s building a built in entertainment center in the bonus room. Skylr had a hard time with the move, and is still trying to adjust. She was also moved into a big full size bed and thought it was strange and cool...for a while she would wake up in the morning or after nap and just cry and cry (scared)while in her bed, waiting for me to get he
r. She is pretty much passed that and is just trying to test us more and more to see what she can get away with in this new environment...just moving into the terrific terrible two's. Tim was able change his work schedule around school so he won't have to
find a new job...thank goodness. And school starts Tuesday, another semester sacrific, but we are so greatful that Tim has a job, we were able to buy a house, we are healthy, we have the church and I am especially greatful for Tims persistance with school even though it is a pain most times and it takes away from things he would rather do. Tim is on the right track to graduate next spring and get into the masters program at B
SU. We also found a PHD program that Tim may be interested in at BSU if we decide we don't wont to move to San Fransisco in a couple years. We are just taking it one semester at a time though and are glad we have options.

Happy Holidays
We had a wonderful Christmas and are really looking forward to the New Year. Christmas Eve we went to my parents house and had our annual family dinner together, then Christmas morning Skylr played Santa and passed out the presents (97% of them were for here anyway). Skylr has also been playing in the snow, the little that we have had so far (by the time Christ
mas came it was all gone, but it should be snow lots here soon). Sunday night was Sky
's first night sleeping in her big girl bed. We converted her crib into a
toddler bed to test out how well she would do with her freedom. She has been amazing, she just goes to bed, hasn't gotten up once to p
lay or come out to see us (the door isn't even closed all the way). I was surprised. We decided to test how well Sky does in her little big girl bed this week so that next week when we move into our new house and she is in her BIG big girl bed she wont be so shocked at the change. Yes
, we are FINALLY buying a house. We sign the last papers tomorrow and by the weeks end we will own a house. We picked out paint colors tonight and have got the house pretty much all packed up. Skylr has really been enjoying the packing and cleaning, she is such a good help and a good sport about all the change. She really enjoy the fort Tim built her,
until mom needed the boxes to pack up the kitchen. We will keep ya posted on the house and i will take lots of pictures through out the process.

Thanksgiving Fun
Thanksgiving was very fun this year. My cousin Linsey, her husband Austi
n and there son Carson joined my parents, Logan , Us and my Grandparents at the Bastian house this year. We all helped as we could as well as worked on wood projects and watched the kids. Sky loved eating all the food with us at the big table and especially liked dessert. Tim was able to play in a Turkey bowl with friends earlier that morning just up the street from our house. We didn't forget to take pictures that's for sure. It was sorta silly...when we took the picture of all the kids together, all the moms (my mom, Linsey and I) had our cameras ready and
were trying to get our kids to smile at the same time for each of the cameras going off at the same time. Black Friday is always a big deal, so after dessert the boys went out and got the paper. After looking through it Austin was the only one willing to wake up and get his item at 4:00 am. Later that morning Linsey, my mom and
I were the first ones in line at other mothers for there quarter sale. We got there at 8:30 and the doors opened at 10:00 am and because we were first Linsey got a practically new little Einsteins jumper thing for a quarter, i got a car sear base for a quarter and my mom got a tub for 25 cents. that was all we spent, but we all walked out with much more, because other mothers handed out a red bag and anything in it was FREE. we each got a bag full and all together spent less then a dollar. IT WAS AWESOME!!! Saturday after thanksgiving my mom, Tim and i tried to see Twilight : New Moon, but they were sold out, we went the following Saturday and saw the movie and really had fun. Monday Tim and I went to the doctor for our check up, I am perfectly healthy and Tim is too, once he gets ride of his sinus infection that we didn't realize he has had for like 2 weeks. Sky is at the end of a cold that she may have given to Logan. oops, that's what happens when we have a kisser in the house. We are very proud of BSU and are looking forward to a blowout Saturday, Tim is hoping they are sent to the Fiesta Bowl so he can try to go. Finals week is in 2 weeks and then a well deserved break for Tim, we can't wait.

What A Slacker
Well there is no good reason for me to have slacked so bad on my blog...i would like to apologize, and hopefully i will do better. Well lots has happened since my last post in September. Skylr is 18 months now and as of her doctor visit today, she is perfect. she is in the 80% tile for about everything and is developing beautifully. She has been talking to us a lot more and is doing amazing with her Please "peese" and Thank You "day doo" she is a very polite little girl and askes for something using "Peese"without being asked about 60% of the time. She has also started to tell you to Stop "TOP" when you are doing things she doesn't like. Mainly to Darby "Dar
boo" and her father.
She has also decided that she likes to sit on the potty and asks to do so through out the day some days. She has not actually gone to the bathroom on
the her potty, but she is moving in the right direction. Skylr also has found
that climbing is the coolest. Sky and I have also refinished a dresser for her to match the big girl bed she will move into this spring. Tim's best friend Evan has FINALLY (lol) gotten married to an awesome woman (Brittney)I had the pleasure of decorating for the reception and Graples was kind enough to provide the decor. Everything was wonderful and went smoothly. It was a long day, but a great one.

Halloween was fun, Sky was a Tiger and she went Trick 'or' Treating with mom, dad, and grandma Debbie in grandma's neighborhood. Sky loved watching all of the other kids in there costumes, as well as helping grandma, or dad pass out candy. The day before Halloween Gra
ndma and Grandpa Miller and Logan (also known as Buddy to Sky) came over and we all carved pumpkins. Skylr was more interested in eating the raw pumpkin, but we all had lots of fun. Tim has been very busy with work and school... and to top it off he has been fighting a cold for the past week, but is getting much better. the holidays are around the corner which means Christmas break. we can't wait for Tim's break...but he is already registered for next semester, so we at least have a bright glimpse of a nicer school schedule (in comparison to this one and prior semesters). Tim should be graduating with his bachelors next spring, then on t
o the masters.

We also had some family pictures taken b
y and amazing photographer... she is just starting out and she did an amazing job.
