WOW!

Skylr turned one May 14. She was pretty sick a few days before her birthday parties, and had to have some breathing treatments...we think that she may have asthma. She was well by the time her parties rolled around...thank goodness.

I made Sky her own cupcake and she loved it, at first she wasn't sure if she should eat it, but once she licked the frosting it was everywhere. Skylr has also gotten her one year

pictures taken. We went to JCP first and they were the best so we went back to Sears (which is were we had her 6m. pics and our family pics done). Since Sky's birthday Tim and I have gone on the annual Huff 4 wheeling trip to Silver City, and then I

received a little brother just a few days after the trip. Logan Douglas Miller is now 8 days old and is as healthy as can be at around 7lbs (especially for being a month early). Tim has started his summer class and will be done in 5 short weeks. We have also been house hunting and hope to find the right one and move in this summer.

Time Fly's When Your Having Fun!!!

A few weeks ago we went for a walk on the green belt in Boise and stopped at a sundial and learned about that, then we walked to the fire fighters memorial and read some of the stories. The weather was so nice in the 70's, so we went on a little Idaho scenic expedition.
Skylr sat in her car and waved to all the other walkers. The following weekend it was
Easter so we visited family and friends. The last week in April we went to Jerome for Skylr's Great Great Grandma's 90Th birthday party. After the party Tim's brothers family, mom and us went to Shoshone Falls. It was so cool, it was as full as it has ever been in a very long time. Although it was cold and the wind threw water on us from the falls, we had fun. Last weekend was "Dia de la familia" at our stake center. We were invited to go since we have been attending the Spanish branch in our building on occasion. There were lots of
booths representing different classifications in the church, and they were serving lunch along with live music. We had lots of fun. Recently we changed Skylr's room around so that she wouldn't get into things she isn't supposed to get into. So now all of her toys are in her room unless we bring them out. so she often just plays in her room.Yesterday Tim went to check on Skylr (she was playing in her room) and he couldn't find her...he could hear her, but couldn't see her.
It took him a second and then he realized that she was playing under her bed. A toy was under there and she went to get it. She really scared Tim for a little, but it all ended in laughs.

Were is the Warmth

Easter weekend we visited Tim's Great Grandma in Jerome, while Tim also completed an interpreter course. The weekend was fun and ended on a good note...a friend of ours returned from his mission, we were also able to visit with Tim's mom, and ended to day at my parents house. Skylr had a great Easter...her great great grandma in Jerome insisted on hard boiling Sky some eggs to find, but Skylr just smashed them (we knew she was a little young for that). We are very excited for the warmth, but it is approaching a little to slowly...this weekend we plan on getting the yard all situated for our garden.

Skylr is now 11 months old and we have begun her birthday party planning. She is going way to fast...I can hardly fit her into 18 month outfits anymore. Sky loves to crawl, but her favorite this is to pull herself up on anything she can and try to figure-out how to climb it. She also enjoys her little toy walker, she would walk around the house with it all day if she could.

Yesterday Skylr got an Easter present from her grandparents (Tim's Dad and Shannon). They got her the coolest toy, it's a car that she can sit in and we push her. Skylr LOVES it. I can't wait for it to be warm enough for us to go on walks with it everyday. General Conference was last weekend and we thought it was great. We were able to be visited by my grandparents from Utah...it was nice to see them, it had been a while. This month sure is going to be busy for us. This weekend Tim is spending a couple nights in Jerome to complete a translation class. And Sunday a good friend of ours is returning from his mission. We are so excited for April and May. Tim's Great grandma is turning 90 at the end of the month and Skylr turns one on May 14th. Boy how time flies.

Back to School

Last week we really enjoyed the fact that Tim was on Spring Break, it sure was nice to have him home everyday after work. He got his motorcyle out and Skylr put on her helmet (that she hasn't grown into yet...it was my first helmet) and got to sit on the bike. She didn't like it to much, but she sure did look cute. Now that Tim is back to school our schedules are a little tossed up, but that will be easily adjusted. He only has about 5 weeks left and soon we will be counting the days till summer.

Skylr has been very active, she loves to crawl around and pull herself up. She starting get the concept of walking and loves to walk with this push walker with toys. Skylr has especially enjoyed eating dinner with us...meaning eating what we eat. She loves pasta! It sure is nice when we eat something that she can eat, I can eat too. I don't have to wait until she has been fed or hear her yell at me because I am taking a bite before I give her another one. Sky has also gotten another set of teeth...her two top teeth. That brings the total to 4 teeth. She seems a lot more fussy with this new set then with her first set. She also likes to grind then together....can't say that's my favorite sound to hear. lol. Other then the usual stresses of life, all is well and we are pressing forward.

Updated...Finally

Well it has been quit the month. I have seemingly slacked on updating our blog, but in reality our computer was over taken with a virus. We are now borrowing Tim's mom's laptop until we get things squared away. We have been keeping ourselves very busy. Along with the computer troubles we have had car troubles. My little high school car that Tim drives, had some major brake problems, but are now picture perfect. Right now we are preparing for the next school year as well as maintaining this one. Tim has 4 A's and 1 B. Spring Break is soon, and the break is long needed. Tim has very busy weeks. We usually don't see him until 10-11ish Monday and Wednesday, he does have dinner with us on Tuesday and Thursday (but then heads off to school until 10). Friday's are happier days since he is with us for the whole evening. The best is that he has the whole weekend off. Because of his schooling his job has had to really work with him, but we have decided that it would be beneficial for Tim to take a translation class and maybe change occupations. Tim is already fluent in Spanish and this class would broaden his abilities in the work force. Other than our busy schedule, mechanical, and tec. problems, we are doing great. Skylr is getting sneakier and was able to get dog food in her mouth. I was right their, but she was just to fast. I got it all on tape (I will try to post it again later). She has been trying to walk to a week or two now, but is still testing her balancing skills.

2 Years!!!

Yesturday was our two year wedding anniversery. Saturday we have a whole romantic day planned. My mom will be watching Skylr so that we can have to day together. I was babysitting a family for the past four days, so we wern't able to have an incredibly special day, but we go out to Chapala's for dinner. After we were married in the Boise Temple on Feb. 24, 2007, Tim and I as well as some missionary companions went to Chapala's to celebrate the reunion of old friends and the wedding that brought them all together.

Silly Little Girl

Skylr is now 9 months. She really likes to stand at the back door and watch her puppy Darby run around. Lately she has really been into the door stoppers, she flicks then around to make lots of loud noise. Skylr loves to talk, and especially say daddy and she now recognises who she is calling. She also likes to shout "DADA" at the top of her lungs just because she can. When she is sitting on someones lap and they start to bounce her, she likes so say "awwwww" so that she can hear her tones move up and down. Sky is still rolling all over the place, she scoots when she wants to, but mainly rolls. She can get all around the house that way, it is fun to watch her figure out how to get somewhere and decide what she wants to do.For the past week or two I have been able to put Skylr's hair in a pony tail fountain on the top of her head. It's fun to be able to do her hair a little.

Can You Say "Dada"!!

Skylr has started to say Dada...We think that it is pretty fun even though she has only found a new sound and doesn't know (yet) that she is calling for daddy.
I love to watch her talk...her little cheeks move up and down and you can see her teeth clear as day. Last Friday I went to the Other Mother's quarter sale in Boise and found a few cute items. I found this hat , I put it on Sky to see how she would react. She kept looking up to see the bill. She also gave me a great teeth shot while she was talking.

Staying Silly

Skylr loves to play, especially with her puppy. She took Darby's rope and was sorta teasing her with it. Sky would take it while Darby was sitting with it, but then as soon as Sky took it and rolled with it Darby would go over to Sky and take it back. It was fun to watch.
Skylr rolls everywhere. She could crawl if she wanted to, but chooses to roll. I think she is just going to start walking some day, and skip the crawling stage. She rolls all around the house, she even found her way into the bathroom.

Skylr and Her Puppy

You can really see her teeth now, especially when she smiles big...or in this case gives me a cheesy grin.

Skylr loves to play with her puppy Darby, and Darby loves to be with Skylr. They have become pretty good pals over the last 8 months and there bond grows stronger everyday. Skylr really likes Darby's ears and Darby lets her pull them for a little while, but after a couple of minutes she scoots away. Darby always thinks she has scooted far enough away, but Skylr has a long reach and doesn't give up easily. When Sky can't reach Darby's face she goes straight for the feet, and Darby hates that.
She is never mean though. She kindly pulls her paws away and eventually finds a new spot to lay...it's pretty funny to watch.

Playing

Tim started school this week. Its been pretty tough without him. Some days he doesn't get to interact with Sky at all...when he leaves she is asleep and when he comes home she is going to bed or already asleep. But Tim and I realize that this part of our life is important and that education is building our future.Skylr is getting big...there is no doubt. Sky is trying to cut naps out of her day which has made her very fussy. Good thing I am better at getting her to take a nap then she is at not taking them. lol. She just puts up a fight for a while before she gives in. And since our last post when Sky got tangled in the blanket, Tim and I decided not to let her sleep with a blanket for a while. So far it has been going well. She sleeps in really warm PJ's, but she's used to snuggling with the blanket. She has parted pretty well from the blankets thought...I am very proud of her. Lately Sky likes to sleep on her side or belly, in either position she seems to always maneuver her feet and sometimes legs between the rails. I am just glad that she can get then out (for the most part) so she doesn't get mad.
Sometimes while I am cooking in the kitchen I usually give Skylr her toothbrush to keep her happy. She loves to "brush her teeth". On Sunday Sky was playing with a mirror while we were getting ready to visit Grandma. I was very fortunate to get a picture of her looking at me in the mirror. lol. She is so silly.

What a Laugh

Skylr turned 8 months yesterday (1/14), she is so fun and absolutely loves to play. Last night Tim and I went in to kiss Skylr goodnight and we found her all tangled up like this. Tim was pretty freaked out, but she was fine. She was sound asleep and snoring pretty loud. After some pictures and a few laughs I turned her around. I have to admit that I didn't like to see her tangled like that either, but at least we check on her quit often.

Skylr's Fun

Skylr got her first balloon this week and had lots of fun playing with it. She is also wearing her Miney Mouse sweatpants outfit for the first time, from her Great Aunt and Uncle. Thank you again. Skylr has been working very hard to crawl, but she just can't get past her hate for being on her belly, but I don't think it will be to long...she has figured out that she can roll around the room to get to something she wants. Her epiphanies happen everyday! We finally found a winter coat for Skylr...it was quit the hasle to find. Skylr still loves her Rain forest Jumparoo and has the strongest legs from it. Right now Tim and the family are enjoying the school break, Tim goes back in a couple weeks and is done with his spring semester May 8th...just in time for our San Diego trip. We are so excited. We will keep you posted on the fun things that we do, but right now we are just relaxing and enjoying this calm pace.

Happy Holidays!!!

This was Skylr's first Christmas and we had lots of fun. Christmas Eve was spent at my parents house. I made a Turkey and my mom helped with the side dishes. After dinner we watched a couple of movies...well Tim and Craig did, my mom, Skylr and I slept. When Christmas morning came it was snowing. We opened presents just the three of us and then visited family during the day. Sky was so cute about opening presents, she didn't really know what to do about the paper. She got better as the morning progressed, but was a pro by the time we visited Tim's mom. Skylr got lots of really cool toys and extremely cute clothes. Tim and I got some really fun stuff too. We had a great Christmas and we were even more happy to have been able to spend it with family. Thank you to everyone for the gifts, thinking of us and for your love. Happy Holidays!!!

And on a side note...Skylr got her first tooth about a week and a half before Christmas, then received her second tooth Christmas Day. EXCITING, but very surreal.
