Success!!

What a wonderful Christmas season! The kids helped decorate the tree, Tim put lights on the house for the first time and they looked GREAT! Skylr and I made a Christmas count down and she didn't want to take the links off. She wanted the chain to stay long. Silly girl.

This was our FREE Christmas tree that we were so happy to find, our other one was only 4 ft. this one is 6ft. it fits in our house much better.

Tim is officially a Boise State Graduate!!

This is the graduation ceremony. Tim is in the 4th row near the center isle and we were able to see each other the whole time. :)

Can you find Tim? Tim was so excited all he could look at was the diploma.

Proud Family!

Tim's graduation party. Go Broncos!BSU Cake

Skylr had so much fun at the party, there were bean bag toss' and balloons, but she wanted to play in the helium tank box. :)
Christmas ginger bread house. Our first!

Christmas Eve. G&G Miller and Logan came over for dinner and to decorate cookies for Santa.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!! Thank you to all our family for making this such a wonderful Christmas for our family, we are truly blessed.

Gavin got a four wheeler for Christmas and can scoot all around the house on it, Gavin has also learned how got up and down the stairs which makes play time fun!

Gavin loves to climb on daddy. Which helped mom get a fun project done.

We sold our dinning set and found this for FREE on Craigslist. I refinished the table, bench and chairs all for FREE.

The kids had to eat on the floor for a couple of days while i got the dining set done, but they thought it was fun.

here is the finished product. I would have liked to have it stained, but there were to many imperfections that made it look rustic and that wasn't the look we wanted. we are happy with our revamped FREE dinning set. :)

Lots of First's

We went on our first train ride!!! We took the Thunder Mountain train from Horseshoe Bend to Banks and back. We went with G&G Miller and Logan. When we got the Banks we were able to go through a maze, a kids "haunted" house, walk around and then bring back as many pumpkins as we wanted. The kids loved all the decorations and the sea of pumpkins. It was such a fun train ride and a great day.We decided to make a pass through from the dinning room to the bonus room. A first for us, but a fun new experience. We weren't expecting a wire to be in the middle of the wall, but we re-routed the wire and continued our project. After a whole bucket of mud, a couple days of drying and re-applying we did get this project finished! :)Skylr got her First hair cut. I cut her hair all to one length just at her shoulders in hopes that it will start to grow longer and thicker a little faster. :)Skylr enjoyed the hair cut and the ability to watch a "cooking show" (her fav.) while she sat on the counter for a cut. Tim's First couching experience came to an end with a loss, but he really enjoyed his time with the kids and talking football for the passed few months.

Happy Halloween...it's pumpkin carving time!!!This was Gavin's First Halloween and First time with paint. The kiddos loved painting their pumpkins from the garden and the train ride. This year our garden gave us seven big jack-o-lanterns! :)Our wards trunk-or-treat. Skylr was a cowgirl, Gavin was her horse, Logan was Iron man, mama was cat woman and daddy was Jason from Friday the 13th.Checking out the loot from trunk-or-treat...there is still trick-or-treating to be done and look at that pile of candy!Gavin's First Birthday!!!Gavin turned one on Nov. 4, 2011. He had a fun little party with all of our friends and their kids.Gavin loaded up with BSU stuff and cars. I made Gavin his First BSU blanket, it was also the First quilt I made by myself. Gavin LOVED his cake and didn't think he got enough :)Daddy and Skylr reading a book together! Enjoying a more relaxing night after a very busy few weeks fallowed by a busy few months. :)Today it snowed and Skylr couldn't help herself, so she got all suited up and played in the snow!

Recently our schedule has slowed down, (yet we feel so busy)I have stopped watching (2yr old and 3 yr old) sisters for a few months while there mom has a baby and since football season has ended for Tim we have been able to spend lots of extra time together and are so grateful for that.

Tim graduates this December 16, 2011 at 10am at the Taco Bell Arena with his BA in Spanish and we are so proud and happy for him and our family for this accomplishment. We are unsure about what the future will bring us, but we have lots of options and will factor them all.

Skylr still LOVES gymnastics and has been learning a lot. She has fallen off the high beam (about 3 ft high) twice, but says "I fell off the high beam again mama, but I got right back on it!" I am so glad she can go and learn so much.

This Thanksgiving will be spend at my G&G Bastian's house and I get to make the pumpkin pie and the Turkey...good thing I have made those things before (and I bring the pumpkin pie every year anyway).

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Fall Adventures

We were able to going fishing before it got cold and we all got two fish each...even Sky.

Skylr caught her fish all by herself on her little poll...she was so adorable!!

Skylr started gymnastics and LOVES it so much. She is learning balance, instruction, strength as well as making new friends. She goes every week and always looks forward to it.At the end of Sept. my aunt and uncled moved from Vegas to Caldwell and my mom helped them move by driving one of there cars across the state, so when she was gone I watched Logan for a couple days and had 5 kids..two were 3yrs....two were 2yrs...and Gavin almost 1. It was quit the house full, but we made it work, survived and managed to have fun :) Skylr is always so excited for gymnastics!!Gavin has been army crawling for a few months now and does a traditional crawl when he is approaching something to pull himself up on. Gavin can now pull himself up to things, sit himself up and play roll the ball. He loves most foods, but is much pickier that Skylr was. Gavin has 6 teeth so far, does a lot of baby talk, but knows who mama is :) Gavin will be one on Nov. 4 and I just can't believe it.Gavin and Skylr get a long so well, right now Gavin is laying the smack down on Sky.CHEESE!!!Mama and Gavin watching Sky at gymnastics!Tim has been staying very busy coaching the Freshman football team at Colombia High in Nampa, but the season will be over in two weeks...which i am looking forward to having the extra 3 hours a day with him. Tim only has 7 more weeks until he graduates with his BA so we have been looking into MA programs, we really like one in Washington, but we wont know what we are going to do until this spring.

GEORGIA BABY!!!

September 1, 2011 at 2pm we boarded our first airplane ride with the kids on our way to Denver for a 2 hour lay over and then off to GA. The kids did pretty well. Skylr was amazing like always, she thought it was pretty cool to listen to the music on the head phones and during our decent into Denver it got a little bumpy and Sky said "whoa" so Tim asked "What was that?" and Sky responded " I don't know." It was fun, but Gavin had a rougher time. We left during nap time and he was VERY tired, but doesn't like to be rocked to sleep. So he screamed a lot (I am quite sure most of the passengers thought I was smothering my child, because the only way to get him to sleep is to let him cry it out so I put my hand over his mouth and let him go at it) after about 5-8 min of crying Gavin fell asleep. Our layover was nice, walking around with kids is a must!! We didn't get to GA until 11pm GA time 9pm ID time, so we bathed and then off to bed for a busy weekend of FUN with G&G Lucore!!

September 2, 2011 we woke up and were so happy to be with Franpa and Grandma. It took the kids an hour or so to warm up to the grandparents, but once they did G&G couldn't get a break. :) Although I am sure they didn't want one :)
It's Friday now and the day of the Braves baseball game. Tim got an awesome Jersey shirt to wear, but the game didn't start until 7ish so we went to the store for groceries and essentials (mnt. dew) and played games.

Daddy and Franpa are playing stack the chairs with Skylr.Ready for the Braves vs. Dodgers game all decked out in blue and red. Turner Field Stadium.Go Braves!!Ready to watch some baseball.Skylr doing the traditional chop!Such a good seat sharerAnd Gavin had enough, after Tim walked around with Gavin for 15 min. he was out until firework time.Although it is fuzzy that is us on the big screen!Firework show after the game. Although the Braves didn't win it was a great game!!

Day 3 Saturday. Today is the day of the BSU-Georgia game. Tim and his dad attended the game while the rest of us enjoyed the lake house 50 ft from the lake. Since kick off wasn't until 8ish we enjoyed the lake at a consistent 80 degrees and the awesome pontoon boat.

On Skylr Island!! An island a couple miles from the lake house. It was so nice out and the water was so warm (80 degrees). The boys left for the game about 4 hours before kick off, but were so excited to soak up the BSU football glory!! The Georgia Dome was so cool and the fans were great on both sides of the field. The seats we great!! They were padded and very comfortable. The boys sat in the Georgia section, but had a blast. Lucore boys at the game! Of course BSU Won!!! GO BRONCOS!!On Sunday we attempted to go to the Nascar race, but got rained out. Before the rain we were all smiles and thought it was just cool to be there. On Monday we enjoyed being inside and relaxing. The boys went fishing and Skylr and I went on a walk which is were we found a Box turtle that Sky named Bob (all by herself). We kept it for a few days then let him go. Skylr only thought it was fun to look at and not be to close to. :)The lake house was so big and the kids had so much fun running around and playing with all the toys G&G got them.We started playing Phase 10. We played for three nights, I won the first night, then Franpa, then me again!!Tuesday we went back to Nascar and watched the race. It was rainy in the beginning and had to be stopped a couple of times, but with about 65 laps left they were able to finish the race with Jeff Gordon the as the winner. We were all rooting for different drivers, I was for Kyle Bush #18, Tim for Kurt Bush, Grandma for Tony Stewart and Franpa for Jr. and Carl Edwards. Wednesday the boys went fishing again and only Franpa reeled in the fish, so we fried them up and had fish for dinner. We went fishing again on Thursday, and found a spot with hundreds of fish (according to or fish finder-all the red dots are fish at certain depths) but we couldn't catch or get a bite off one :( Although we didn't watch a fish we had fun on the boat. We headed back in, got all packed up and set out to the airport. The plane rides were great once we got on at Denver, the kids were good. We were home by 10pm, bathed and off to bed (p.s. the lake house had a washer and dryer so no laundry for mom, just unpack and back to normal):) happy to be home, but could have stayed there forever!! Thank you so much Franpa and Grandma Shannon, you two made our week!! We had such a wonderfully awesome time and it was all due to you two!! Thank you and we love you both so much...can't wait to see you guys again, drive safe!!

Now the we are back home, Tim will continue his student teaching at Columbia High in Nampa as well as couching Columbia's Freshman Football team. Tim has been staying really busy with that and us and we see so much potential in our future and with Tim's career, we are so thankful Tim was able to student teach at Columbia. I have been watching two sister(one 2 and the other 3) from the ward a few times a week which keeps me busy. Skylr is being signed up for gymnastics this fall and is way excited. Gavin is army crawling everywhere which has been fun, Sky loves it because they can play together. We are all healthy and happy and hope you are too! :)
